Must visit: the Greek Lindos

One on the list of must-visits that I can finally check off for the second time this week: the village of Lindos on the island of Rhodes. You rarely see it more Greek than this with its white houses; Lindos is also known as the white city. It has the winding streets and doors that make you want to take a hundred photos, so photogenic. Order a coffee at one of the rooftop terraces that Lindos has to offer while looking out over the city, or just lounge down by the bay.
The history of Lindos is impressive; it is home to the Temple of Lindia Athena from 550 BC and the apostle Paul was shipwrecked off the coast of Lindos in the first century. And today, people love it because it is so beautiful.
Two tips if you visit Lindos: the elevation difference is significant and the stones are small, so if you visit Lindos, do so in flat shoes. And in the high season, the white city is a tourist attraction, so set out at dawn because then you have it to yourself.
