Netflix is dropping no less than six Christmas movies this year, so Merry X-mas in advance

Yesterday I returned from the way too sunny Bali, a day later I inform you about the latest Christmas movies. How the tables have turned. By the way, coming back to the Netherlands in mid-October is also not the warmest welcome you can imagine, so I'm already quite into the sweaters, red wine, candles on, heating still on, and with a blanket on the couch vibe. Netflix on and let's go with that banana. Also fine. We can still do those sessions a whole number of times this year, because Netflix announced yesterday that no less than six Christmas movies are coming this year. S-I-X. That's something else a Holly Jolly Holiday.

I will go through all six of them with you right away. Side note: I think there are actually seven, because there is also a Netflix movie with Michiel Huisman in the lead role coming. That one just wasn't part of this announcement, but let's conveniently forget that – so it's secretly seven. S-E-V-E-N.

The first is The Knight Before Christmas with Vanessa Hudgens in the lead role. She also starred last year in the Christmas movie The Princess Switch, also on Netflix. That one was pretty bad, but also quite fun and I watched it about three times last Christmas. Okay, five. I think this one will be just a bit worse, but maybe also just a bit more fun: Vanessa plays a teacher who helps a knight adjust to modern times after he has traveled through time. I'm not making this up. Watching is experiencing with this movie I think, because this is going to be deliciously cringy, I think.

Also in the cringe category we get A Christmas Prince: A Royal Baby. Right, the sequel to The Christmas Prince from 2017. Also so bad and also one that we all secretly enjoyed. Prince + Christmas + baby = Netflix hit. The third movie is an animated film called Klaus, featuring voices from among others Rashida Jones. A nice one for the kids.

Then we get (we're not there yet) Let It Snow, a sort of wannabe Love Actually where we follow six different storylines on Christmas Eve. It might not reach the level of Love Actually, but this one seems very entertaining. A nice all-American film where we don't have to think too much (although I guess that's not the case with any of these films...).

Okay, let's continue: Holiday Rush, about a DJ who wants to reconnect with his kids during Christmas. This is the only one for which no trailer or real further info has been released yet, so I'll go straight to the last one. And yes, save the best for last: Holiday in the Wild with Kristin Davis (a.k.a. Charlotte from Sex and the City). She plays a divorced woman who travels to Africa during Christmas and finds a charming man (Rob Lowe, so really a charming man, yes) who works at an elephant sanctuary. Christmas + animals + Africa + Kristen Davis = the movie I am definitely going to see. And now quickly buy a Christmas tree for the ultimate preppings
