R. Kelly gives his first interview: crying and all

R. Kelly performing green lightning show

I don't really know what's going on in America, but the scandals are flying at us. What do you do when you're pelted with tomatoes in public? Then there's only one thing to do: bare your butt on a talk show. Jordyn Woods did it last week already, now there's R. Kelly. The R&B singer joined Gayle King to share his side of the story. Because no: he did not abuse those underage girls. Maybe in the past (he doesn't want to talk about that), but not now at least. Eh. My stomach turns at the point where he even turns to the camera pleading and crying at one point.

“Hate me if you want to, love me if you want. But just use your common sense,” he says visibly frustrated in the interview. “How stupid would it be for me, with my crazy past and what I’ve been through – oh, right now I just think I need to be a monster, hold girls against their will, chain them up in my basement, and don’t let them eat, don’t let them out!”

The interview lasted a total of over an hour and will be broadcast today and tomorrow in America. What I don't want to withhold from you is the preview from news channel CBS. Oh oh, R. Kelly, are you digging the hole deeper and deeper?
