Science says it: red wine is good for your libido

Bottoms up. If science has anything to say about it, at least. And hey, if it's proven... Who are we to argue against that? Exactly. And so the scientists investigated which drink is actually the best for your libido. So which drink should you order when going out to get in the mood the most? Vodka, beer, G&T, or maybe shots? No, all wrong. The ultimate mood maker turns out to be red wine. I still need to get used to the idea of ordering a glass of red wine at the pub on a Saturday night, but I will definitely take the plunge.
And the research on this question was conducted next. No less than 800 Italian women were presented with different types of drinks and were then tested on, uh, how aroused they were? I don't know exactly how they tested that, but it actually sounds like a study I would have liked to be a guinea pig for.
By the way, this research does say that this mainly applies to average drinkers, so about two glasses of red wine per day. So don't immediately stuff that entire Cabernet Sauvignon into your hollow tooth, because the chances are that it will backfire. Anyway, I feel anything but attractive when I know my teeth have a nice reddish-purple glow from excessive red wine consumption. Makes your seductive smile a lot less seductive, I think.
What a nice side effect of this new fact is? It works for men too. When they drank two glasses of wine per day, they had a higher testosterone level than those who did not. For women, it works even better because it is said to promote blood flow to our erogenous zones. If this isn't a good reason to toast with a vin rouge tonight, I don't know what is.
So get it ready for tonight. Some oysters on the side (if you're going for the aphrodisiacs, then go all out), a bottle of red, and success is guaranteed. Just a side note: if you get too overconfident and reach for whiskey, tequila, other spirits, or cocktails: just don't. According to this research, they absolutely do NOT work for your libido, and the first two drinks mentioned will probably make you blackout drunk. And another side note: if you know someone in the scientific field who is still looking for guinea pigs for a similar study, then I am one of the most motivated testers they can find.
