The 3 best lunch spots in The Hague

The Hague is my favorite city, made possible by the tastiest chai lattes, smoothie bowls, and pancakes. Almost too beautiful to eat but of course way too delicious to leave are the French toast with fresh fruit from Club Vers, colorful pancakes à la Mugs & Mermaids, and the best smashed avocado toast at Pistache Café that treat me, once seated, to pure happiness. Yes babes, it’s time to pack your bags and make this weekend unsafe in The Hague. Fun, I’ll order an extra healthy juice for us. 1:00 PM sound good?

Club Vers
As you approach Hollands Spoor station, it’s definitely worth getting off your train for Club Vers. French toast with fresh fruit and almonds, healthy juices, and açai bowls, but they certainly also have the tastiest cakes, muffins, and burgers in the city. Oh, and don’t forget to take a picture at the ‘I want it all’ wall, it’s veeery instagrammable.

Mugs & Mermaids
A cozy little place for not your typical kind of breakfast or lunch is how Mugs & Mermaids describes itself. And it’s definitely not so typical. Everything you order is intensely colorful, cheerful, and also not unimportant: insanely delicious. Just check out the pancakes yourself, I bet I don’t need to add much more *drool*.

Pistache Café
Organic, fresh, and particularly beautiful is what they serve at Pistache Café. Be sure to try the açai happy face bowl, avo toast with smoked salmon, homemade waffles, and the sweet potato pancakes with red fruit. Bet you’ll be sitting on the terrace at Pistache for the rest of the afternoon?
