Finally, the official trailer of Frozen 2 has dropped

New trailer of frozen, elsa, anna

Guys, let it gooo. The vocal cords can be warmed up again, because on November 22, the big sing-along spectacle starts again. Then Frozen 2 will be released, and I’m going to assume that this sequel will have as much of a hit as Let It Go. Hopefully one that you can remember a little easier, because I’ve already been belting it out for a quarter of an hour, with strange looks from my surroundings. That song is way too catchy. But alright, part two is coming. It was already clear very quickly that a sequel could not be avoided given the success of Frozen, but yes… it took quite a while. To refresh your memory: Frozen was released in 2013. Six years ago, people. I really feel like a grandma typing this, because it feels like it was much shorter ago.

Six long years of waiting. But today, the official first trailer has finally dropped. Phew, Disney. Of course, Elsa Elsa and Anna are back, and Olaf and Kristoff. Frozen 2 will be about where Elsa's special powers come from. And somehow that origin is a threat to their current kingdom of Arendelle. And yes, the sisters are going to prevent that, with the help of the snowman and Anna’s great love. I’m hoping for a lot of duets between Elsa and Anna.

Of course, you should check out the trailer (almost two minutes long, yay) for yourself. My first impression? It seems a lot darker than the first part. Not that you’ll be sitting with your hands over your eyes, it’s still Disney of course, but it all comes across as quite exciting. ‘We have always feared Elsa’s powers were too much for this world. Now we must hope they are enough,’ says the King Troll (yes, the trolls are back too). Okay, okay, you have my attention. And the expectations are high, because once again: Six. Years. Waiting.
