These celebs are thick as thieves

Kim Kardashian JLO Kylie Jenner and Kendall Jenner during gala on the red carpet

Hug your BFF extra hard today. Or send a sweet message, a song, a text... Whatever it is, today is International BFF Day, which is the perfect moment to express your love and appreciation for your BFF. Just about the word BFF: it was first included in the dictionary in 2010. To be honest, I never thought I would use this trendy abbreviation, but here I am. By the way, I succumbed to it a few years ago. It just sounds nice. Anyway, whoever your BFF is, make sure to put them in the spotlight today. Hopefully, these celebs will do the same. Check out the most remarkable, surprising, or fun BFF pairs from Hollywood and our Hillywood. Cheers to friendship.

1. Kim Kardashian & Sacha Baron Cohen

Huh? How so? I had a bit of an internal error when introducing these two. Ali G and Kim K? I never thought these two would actually click, but it turns out they really do. In 2016 (yes, they've been around for a while), Sascha showed the entire Kardashian clan his new movie in a private screening. Only for close friends. Then you've definitely reached the BFF status, I think.

2. Martin Garrix & yeah… who wouldn't? But especially Justin Bieber

That Martin Garrix is certainly moving in impressive circles, I must say. He often appears on Instagram while facetiming with Kan (no big deal), he collaborates with stars like Dua Lipa (of course, no big deal), but the one he gets along with best is The Biebs. In fact, he and Justin were spotted grocery shopping at the Albert Heijn near Martin Garrix's house. Just imagine, you're at the fridge section, and J.B. hops by in the Appie. Day of your life. So it seems possible, never say never.

3. Courteney Cox & Ed Sheeran

Guess no one told you life was gonna be this way… Ed was still a little Ed when Friends was on TV, so there's a good chance he was glued to the screen back then. And now he can count Monica among his best friends. In fact, he lived in her beach house for a while. And he introduced her to her new love: the lead singer of Snow Patrol. So he's also a cupid, besides being a BFF.

4. Millie Bobby Brown & Drake

I had to think twice about this one too, because, uh, something with age? No judging, but the Stranger Things actress was only 14 when she became buddies for life with Drake, who was 32 at the time. But hey, they probably just clicked really well. Drake does not only love his bed and his momma, which is a positive point. According to Millie, they text about everything and she sees him not only as a good friend but also as a role model. That's sweet.

In the end…. super cozy❤️

5. Nikkie Plessen & André Hazes Jr

A fashion woman with a folk singer, not entirely obvious. There's a rumor going around that it might be more, but I dismiss this rumor to the land of fables. And honestly: who wouldn't want to have a beer with Dré regularly? Seems very cozy to me.

6. Eminem & Elton John

Let's rewind: in 2001, the two even performed together. Say what? Yes, really, during the Grammys. Since that moment, they have stayed in touch, so that BFF friendship has lasted for 18 years already. Eminem has also said that Sir Elton helped him get sober, something the singer has struggled with quite a bit (you know this if you've seen Rocketman, if not: highly recommended). Sure, Slim Shady doesn't seem like the emotional type, so I would love to see if they do anything for BFF Day today.

7. Jennifer Lawrence & Adele

I only heard about this friendship a few months ago, and of course: I don't know them personally at all, but when I see them in the media, I totally understand this friendship. J-Law is always a bit quirky, and from the moment I saw Adele on Carpool Karaoke, I think they have the greatest time together. Okay, to be very honest: I would also love to be part of this group. Unfortunately, the spot for the third musketeer is already taken, that's for Emma Stone. Scheisse.

8. Paul de Leeuw & Adele

What? Paul de Leeuw, you lucky bastard. Whether they still talk regularly, I don't know, but there was definitely a strong bond between them. Paul had Adele as a guest on his TV show a few times (again: lucky bastard), after which they stayed in touch and he even got a shout-out during her concert in the Netherlands. ‘I have found a friend for life in Paul de Leeuw,’ she said then. Lucky. Bastard.

9. Wendy van Dijk & Marco Borsato

Aah, I also like these two. Both are Dutch pride and they go way back. In 2004, they were both guests at Villa Felderhof and that's where the spark flew. The BFF spark, that is. Wendy was still recovering from her divorce from Xander de Buisonjé, which moved Marco to tears. And… A friendship was born.

10. Badr Hari & Cristiano Ronaldo

I don't find Badr Hari a very nice guy and even though I love football, I don't find Ronaldo the nicest guy either. But their friendship is certainly remarkable, so they deserve a spot (well, the last one, that they do). They were often spotted together on luxury vacations, where there was even talk of a real romance blossoming between the two. Hmm, I'm not sure if anyone believed that, but they do seem to like each other.
