We headed towards Veluwe, with friends in a beautiful house with an outdoor fireplace, plenty of snacks and lots of liquids. Wonderful, in the woods, but after a day I always have a bit of a need for the city and especially for places where you can eat and drink extensively. I fired up TheFork to see where we should settle and SOAP appeared on the screen. Imagine a city beach, along a canal in Apeldoorn, on the old Zwitsal site (the place where the first Zwitsal products were made, yes) and place cool old shipping containers there, surround it with a terrace and finish it off with the tastiest beers, cocktails, and platters that you can't get enough of. Tip: order the warm SOAP platter and expand it with nachos and the SOAP special quesadillas. Do bring your friends, because it's a lot. But delicious, I'm getting hungry again. SOAP is really one of those places where you want to stay all morning, afternoon, and evening.
