Why it is very good if you haven't had a nice weekend for once

If someone asks you: ‘Did you have a nice weekend?’, you always respond with ‘Yes.’ Of course, you had a nice weekend. Joe.
And so everyone will answer ‘yes’ and tell about that lunch there, that outing here, those family weekends this way and that way and drinks and bitterballen and the whole shebang. Well, honestly: my previous weekend was actually NOT that nice. And sometimes that's very good for you, it turns out. I had a funeral on Saturday afternoon. It was a farewell to a lovely woman who passed away far too young. Late fifties. And that brings you right back down to earth. You don't want to think about it, but yes, life can be very fragile.
And then I suddenly thought of all this, right after that sad weekend:
1. I'm going to make an appointment with my Omi now.
2. I'm going to sounds like a great plan, but can we do it Saturday night instead of Tuesday? We’ll have plenty of time.” Always works. with my best friends.
3. I'm going to tell my husband that I love him a million.
4. I'm going to order those new boots that I've had in my shopping cart for three weeks now.
5. I'm going to say yes to that career step.
6. I'm going to give my children four hundred kisses on their baby chubby cheeks.
7. I'm going to book the next vacation now.
8. I'm going to call my mother now. And then my father.
9. I'm going to plan a dinner with my sisters now.
10. I'm going to enjoy this cup of coffee now.
My tip for you: make something beautiful out of it, this weekend. Every weekend. And also from Monday. Because it is given, this new, lovely day. Don't complain too much, hang up some streamers and check off your own list of ten points. Because life is very fragile. Never forget that.
