Why you want to go to Disney now

As a small child, I couldn't sleep for a week from the excitement: it's almost time for our annual Disney trip with Marly and our families. The party already started on the Thalys, for which I had brought sandwiches and food for almost the entire carriage. Now that Otis is really experiencing everything, it's even more fun for me (I thought I was already at my limit). When you go with small children, Fantasyland and Toy Story Playland are a must. The ‘Mickey and the Magician’ show is also highly recommended, even for adults: Marly and I both cried tears of joy and emotion when we saw the faces of all the kids watching the spectacle so intently. I can't wait for next year already.

For years, I have been a huge fan of JAN Magazine. In addition to the beautiful fashion shoots, there are always impressive interviews that touch me. And that's exactly what they want to do with the 150th anniversary issue: to highlight 150 people who have made great contributions in the field of newcomers and refugees. In a time when society is polarizing, there are fortunately enough initiatives that connect people. And these initiatives, where those 150 people are making a special effort for others, deserve a platform. Additionally, JAN is giving away amazing gifts in the anniversary issue that you can win for someone else. They couldn't have given a better meaning to their anniversary if you ask me.

Whether I wanted to travel with three girls to Antwerp for lunch at the most culinary restaurant of the moment? I didn't have to think about it for a second. Everyone who has eaten at The Jane talks about it for months. They haven't exaggerated: the ten-course menu consists of flavor explosions in your mouth. If I had to give up eating out for a year in exchange for one evening at The Jane, I wouldn't hesitate for a second. Start saving now, because this one is a must for your bucket list.

I still make the biggest fashion discoveries in Scandinavia: cool brands are popping up like it's nothing. My latest find is HUNKØN. It's Scandinavian ‘cleanliness’ mixed with Japanese influences, making the prints and details a bit more pronounced. For this summer, there are already a few items in my closet begging to be worn. What luck that I'm going to Cancun next week (what? Cancun? Yup, Cancun!) and can take these outfits with me. Because that summer in the Netherlands is taking way too long to arrive...
