Yesyesyes, Revenge is coming back with a reboot

the actresses of the series Revenge

This was really one of my addictions back in the days. Because Revenge it dates back to 2011. I still remember it being aired as a new series on Net 5 (back when it wasn't powered by Linda) and I was addicted. I found it so exciting too. Unfortunately, they couldn't maintain that tension throughout all four seasons, and okay, here and there some revelations were a bit less, but overall Revenge was just a really nice series. And come on, if Grey’s Anatomy we're now on season number seven-ten (no joke), then Revenge could have gone on a bit longer. Well dear people, five years later we are getting what we want.

Because Revenge is coming with a reboot. And no, these are not rumors. ABC has confirmed it themselves, so the flag can officially be raised. Even more good news: Mike Kelly, the creator of the show, is also returning. And they are keeping it a bit exciting further, because they do want to reveal that a ‘fan favourite’ is coming back. But who? Yes, I personally hope for Emily VanCamp, but the chance that the lead actress returns is virtually nil.

The creators want the reboot to revolve around a Latin American immigrant. The still unnamed ‘fan favourite’ becomes her mentor when she arrives in Malibu. Malibu is not a random destination; this immigrant wants revenge on a pharmacist who killed her mother. Sounds familiar? Yes, this reboot is just going to be a literal Revenge 2.0. Did I already mention that I'm looking forward to it?

And I'm not the only one looking forward to it, because Twitter is also going pretty wild. They are already quite sure who this returning ‘fan favourite’ is. It would be about Nolan Ross (Gabriel Mann) or Louise Ellis (Elena Satine). I think both are absolutely fine. Anyway, this news is more than fine. Let that Friday afternoon drink come early today.
