Yesyesyes, the first real scene of The Witcher is here

Stop what you're doing right now, because this is definitely something you want to see, especially if you're a Game of Thrones fan. And especially if you’re not anymore because the last season was disappointing. From December 20, you will likely have a new addiction and that is The Witcher. Well, you already knew that, but now the first scene has been released and it promises quite a lot of good. It's a fight scene where ‘Game of Thrones looks terribly bad.’ Hey, those aren't my words, you know. But just take a look for yourself below.
Main character Henry Cavill was a guest on Jimmy Kimmel's late night show to talk about The Witcher, among other things, he mentioned that he does his own stunts, and – okay, you just want to see that scene, I get it. Then fast forward the video below to 6:21. It's not a gigantic long clip, but enough to get a bit of an idea of The Witcher. It looks like there’s at least a decent choreography behind it. I can definitely recommend watching the whole interview because I find that Henry Cavill is quite a charming man, phew.
A number of lucky few have already been able to watch the first episodes of The Witcher and to no one's surprise, their opinions ended up on Twitter. And for Game of Thrones fans, it wasn't mild; I've put the funniest ones below. So that promises a lot on December 20. And if all goes well, we can enjoy this for quite a while, as the showrunner has said there is enough material for seven seasons. Now that’s some serious planning ahead.
In case you didn't know: The Witcher is based on a book of the same name, so you can do some groundwork. It seems that the first season does not cover the entire first book (which quickly explains why they have enough material for seven seasons, you won't hear me complain), so you will definitely spoil yourself.
To be honest: I was never really into the fantasy genre. Game of Thrones I could never really be charmed by it, but this series looks really cool. There's a good chance that I’ll be hooked after one episode, so. Oh yes: Netflix has already ordered a second season, so we’re already almost a third of the way through those seven. This is going to be great.
Oh I will say this. The fight scenes in The Witcher make Game of Thrones fight scenes look like two drunks fighting outside a bar.
