9 things you probably didn't know about Lady Di

On July 1, Lady Diana would have turned 59 years old. A life that was abruptly ended in the tunnel at Pont d’Alma has always stayed with us. Yet there are things we do not know about the people's princess. Like this.

1.   Charles first dated her older sister. As in: they had a fling.

2.  Diana was not a standout at school, but she was very good at dance, piano, swimming, and diving.

3.  Despite her high noble background, Diana had many ordinary jobs. For example, she cleaned and babysat in the house of an American family living in London.

4.  Diana gave dance lessons, but had to stop when she had a skiing accident and needed to recover from it.

5.  She was the first woman to choose a non-custom made engagement ring, but simply picked one from the jeweler. Because it reminded her of her mother's engagement ring. It still cost 36,000 dollars, nonetheless.
