Best news of the day: there is a sequel to Costa! coming!
Look, the fact that Costa! is on Netflix was of course just really great news. In exactly the same category, more great news has come in today, namely that there is a new film of Costa! coming. A. MOVIE. Praise this already. Writers Jon Karthaus and Diederik Jekel have completely finished the script so I say let's go for it. Filming with that.
Who is being filmed with is still a bit of a mystery, because I think the chance is quite small that Katja Schuurman and Daan Schuurmans are up for this film. But maybe their characters now have kids who will follow in their parents' footsteps? Stuff the whole family into Salou. Is Salou still a beloved party destination or will this Costa! 2.0 take place in Cherso? Ooo, either way, I am looking forward to this. Jon and Diederik, if I can have a cameo in this film, my day, no, my month, my year, cannot be ruined.
So it will take a while before we can see Costa! The Movie in theaters, but since the cinemas are currently closed due to the coronavirus, that doesn't matter much right now. I am throwing myself into quarantine and will watch the whole series again on Netflix. One more time yes, because I have already finished it. And you understand that I am fully back in 2004 regarding my crush on Michiel Huisman. He was definitely the absolute best from Costa!
