Britney Spears is making headlines again and fans are worried
The saga of Britney Spears continues… Fans have been worried for years now, and that seems quite justified. Her Instagram is filled with blurry videos, in which she dances or sometimes talks, at a rapid pace with vague sentences. Comments like ‘wear something yellow in your next video if you need help’ is where about 90 percent of her comment section consists of. And she didn't really respond to that substantively. Until now. Sort of.
First, let's start with something positive: just over two weeks ago, there was a victory for Britney in court. She had requested permission to bring in her legal team, and that has been granted. If you don't know which lawsuit this is: she is suing her own father. He has had full control over her since 2008. And over EVERYTHING. Which concerts she does (she doesn't manage her own schedule), her money; basically her entire right to exist. There is plenty to find about it online and believe me: it's a tough rabbit hole to dive into. And incredibly grim, but then you probably fully understand why fans are worried about Britney.
By the way, she says this would be unjustified in an Instagram video. ‘Hi, so I know there’s been a lot of comments and a lot of people saying a lot of different things about me, but I just want you to know that I am fine, I’m the happiest I’ve ever been in my life and I’m sending all of you guys a lot of prayers, wishes and a lot of love.’ Do you also miss some punctuation here and there in this sentence? That could be right, it was rattled off at record speed.
And fans naturally notice that: is it logical to say that you’re ‘the happiest you’ve ever been’ when you’re in the middle of a protracted lawsuit? Maybe it’s because I’m a sucker for conspiracy theories, but I really believe that there is much more going on behind closed doors. Hopefully, she at least gets the help she needs and there is light at the end of the tunnel if she wins this ongoing lawsuit. And hopefully, she gets to spend her own money for once.
