That was quite a shock when it became known that The Haunting of Hill House it would not get a sequel but would become an anthology series. Because that automatically meant it was over between Michiel Huisman and us, and less Michiel on screen is always just a bit hard to swallow. Our Dutch pride and of course, he can really act well. But holy moly, that guy is just handsome.

No Michiel Huisman then, but a hugely exciting new series that we get in return: The Haunting of Bly Manor. The teaser has just dropped and oooh, I think this is going to be another particularly scary series. I love that.

The story: a young American nanny moves to England to take care of two orphans. They move into Bly Manor and soon it seems it's not your ordinary house. The trailer looks very promising in any case. I don't know what it is, but singing children's voices is really the perfect formula for goosebumps.

On October 9, all episodes will be released on Netflix, so that's just a month of waiting. Honestly, I'm really looking forward to this series. I really love horror movies and series and I have a feeling that this one is going to be bizarrely scary again. I thought that about the first season too, by the way, and many people around me were complaining that they had nightmares from it. See, then you're doing it right. Sleepless nights incoming. Sleeping with a baseball bat next to your bed so you can tackle all the ghosts and intruders right away, that kind of practice.
