Coffee gossip; Irma is back and Dotan is performing for the Pope

Today is probably a bit of a debrief about the press conference. What did you think, is there disappointment or did you expect it? But more happened, Dotan is celebrating Christmas Eve with the Pope this year.
Dotan appears on Show do Vaticano
It is quite an honor, as Dotan is the very first from the Netherlands to perform on Christmas Eve to make an appearance in the Pope's program. The singer is leaving for Italy tomorrow for the recordings in Vatican City where he will also have a chat with Pope Francis during the rehearsals. Not a crazy choice by the way, as Dotan is very popular among Italians. He also asked in advance whether his sexual orientation was known to the Vatican, as he never wants to be closed about it again. That was the case, they confirmed. This is really worth a ‘thank God’.
Pitting an avocado is life-threatening
It is probably the most discussed fruit ever, the avocado. But now it turns out that the green rascal can also cause ugly damage. If you pit it incorrectly, you can cut through just about everything in your hand, from muscles to tendons. I saw on the news yesterday (yes, the avocado was on the news) how it shouldn't be done, while I held my heart because: who pits an avocado so dangerously? It felt more like Russian roulette. Never poke a pit with a knife, people., this is how it should be done.
Irma is back, baby
I always try to make an assessment at the beginning of the press conference. If Irma is with Rutte, then he brings the bad news. If she is with Hugo, then he is the scapegoat. It was immediately clear to me that our prime minister himself would share the sour news and yes: the hospitality industry remains closed and Christmas will take place in a small committee. That is crap of course, although I firmly believe that we can make the best of it. But I do have one personal request to everyone, especially to those who ask questions after the press conference: can we please stop pretending that we are in kindergarten and not allowed to do something by teachers Rutte and De Jonge? That makes it a lot more bearable.
