Ellen says sorry
In a letter released by Variety but actually intended for her employees, talk show host Ellen finally apologizes. She says she is genuinely sorry that she did not realize how unsafe the workplace was and that this was due to the pace at which the show grew. “I relied on others to do their jobs just as I would do mine. That did not happen,” she writes. Executive producer Ed Glavin has apparently been fired immediately. According to employees, racism and intimidation were part of the daily routine on the Ellen DeGeneres set. Ellen herself claims to have had no part in this. The investigation into the unsafe and toxic work environment is ongoing, which she also informed her team about in the letter.
Ghislaine Maxwell is also being accused
