Getrouwd op het Eerste Gezicht Australië: Waar zijn ze nu?

What I will never get enough of is Married at First Sight Australia. I really thought I was familiar with all the guilty pleasures and bad shows, little did I know. And then I suddenly discovered that the sixth season on Videoland of MAFS Australia. Yes, I feel like such an insider that I now say MAFS instead of the whole title, that's how far I've come. That sixth season has been available on Videoland in its entirety for a long time (which amounts to more than 40 hours), and the seventh has also been going on for a while now. That makes me very happy.
But it will take a while before I am truly attached to the new couples of that season number seven. I'm still completely caught up with Heidi and Mike. Jessika and Dan. Poor Mick. Martha and Michael. Cyclone Cyrell. Is there still a couple together or is it all drama? I'm going to go through it all with you. To the last detail. Because OF COURSE there is drama. And not just drama between couples, but also just among all the participants. And Cyrell isn't even involved in it.
Let me start with that: the trio is no more. Ines, Jessika, and Martha were so strong together, but there is nothing left of that. And as all arguments are fought nowadays, it all went very classy on Instagram Stories. Martha allegedly cheated in Ines's house. Martha couldn't take that and uttered the legendary words that she would rather undergo a root canal treatment than ever speak to Jess or Ines. Ouch.
Jessika also got involved and said that Martha had cheated again around Christmas, and poor Michael knows nothing. In terms of friendship, there is little left among the three divas. And now on to the couples, because that's what it's all about.
Melissa and Dino: nothing left of a friendly breakup
These two were quite mismatched if you ask me. Hilarious, Dino with his spirituality and Melissa couldn't be further from that. Sheeva with nine arms? Dude, what are you talking about? It's eight in the morning. Honestly: I understood her. And after he recorded her private conversation, it was completely over. The two no longer follow each other on Instagram, so yeah, you know how it is.
Mike and Heidi: didn't make it
Oh, I was crying in front of the TV with these two. They were really the picture-perfect couple, right? And my god, that reunion... Heidi said she was no longer in love with Mike. My. Heart. BROKE. These two also no longer follow each other on Instagram, so that door that was once ajar is now really triple locked.
Jessika and Dan: huge breakup live on TV
Well, something about karma and that it will always come back to you? Jessika didn't play very nicely with poor Mick, who almost had a mental breakdown after Jessika wrote again that she wanted to stay. At the reunion, Cyrell revealed that Jessika had also offered herself to Nic, and Dan was not too happy about that. Jessika denied it until a live interview at Talking Married. Jessika admitted it, Dan was angry, and everything exploded. Live. On. TV. It's on YouTube and it's cringeworthy and awkward.
Ines and Bronson: Have gotten their happy ever after
NO, OF COURSE NOT. These two no longer speak to each other.
Matt and Lauren: runners are dead enders
Ah, and it started so well in the beginning. A deflowering that the whole world enjoyed. Yet it turned out Lauren was a bit too intense, although she later said that her statements about open relationships and her history with women were a bit exaggerated. That she had to say those lines from the producers because it would create drama. Hmm...
Ning and Mark: nope, nope, nope
That Mark said ‘no’ in the end. HOW? I found Ning to be a truly awful witch at first (in my head, I used a worse word than ‘witch’), and I don't know how she did it, but she became one of my favorites. It would have been so nice if Mark and she had made it. But no, he broke her heart and he now has a new relationship and she is alone. Mark, you're a jerk. Pff.
Billy and Susie: their task was just CV building
Come on, you really can't convince me that these two weren't actors. That Susie was truly a pure horror, and that Billy... No. These were just hired people.
Cam and Jules: baby on board
Yes, the most steady couple of the whole season is still steady. And in seventh heaven, because not only are they really married (because the ‘marriage’ in the show is fake, in Australia you have to apply for your marriage license a month in advance), Jules is also pregnant.
Jessika and Mick: nahhh
No, they no longer speak to each other. Nice: Mick is now completely happy with someone else.
Cyrell and Nic: finito
They seemed quite okay together at the reunion, but these two haven't really become friends. Cyrell is now a mother. Baby daddy is Eden Dally, a participant from Love Island Australia. Those two are also no longer together by the way. Or are they? It's quite a flickering light, so I can't keep track of it all.
Martha and Michael: no idea how, but they are still together
I really never expected these two to survive. I would have put my money on Jess and Dan sooner. But they are still together and I must say: Michael has dried up very well. Now completely shining from the stickiness he has under Martha, but apparently, he likes it.
Dan and Tamara: completely surprisingly, they also no longer speak to each other
No, we saw that coming. What is surprising is that Jess and Tamara have buried the hatchet. In other words, Tamara has left her anger behind. After the very public breakup of Jess and Dan, the two ladies apparently got in touch with each other. Probably on the common ground that they all thought Dan was a fool.
Elizabeth and Sam: is never going to happen, of course
Sam has kind of ‘hit rock bottom’: it seems that he is now a barista at a coffee shop in Australia. Nothing wrong with that, of course, but it's a bit nice for him after how he has behaved. Lizzie didn't let that stop her and just participated again in the seventh season. With success. You go, girl.
