Gossip Girl meets The Crown in this new Netflix series

This combination might be one you wouldn't expect. It also sounds a bit strange, from posh England to uptown New York City. Both have a wardrobe that you can't ignore, and you wouldn't want to get into a fight with either; before you know it, you're persona non grata. Actually, the series have quite a lot in common.

So if you're a fan of these two: you definitely want to watch Bridgerton on Netflix. It will be a Christmas gift, because the first season goes online on December 25th. The series is based on the books by Julia Quinn of the same name, set in Victorian London. So yes, the outfits are going to steal the show again.

And the storylines too, by the way. It's about Daphne Bridgerton who dives into the London dating market. Uh, excuse me: marriage market. They didn't date back then, it was of course serious right away. You were looking for a man, not a fling.

What we can expect is drama. A lot of drama. About friendships, relationships, and family ties. And many scandals. The Bridgerton family is noble and has quite a few things on their conscience. When someone wants to spill all the secrets, complete panic breaks out and the family wants to do everything to keep that dirty laundry inside.

You can assume that there will be plenty of drama and intense intrigues: the creator is none other than Shonda Rhimes, the woman behind series like Scandal and Grey’s Anatomy. Yes, this is going to be enjoyable.
