Hallelujah: limoncello and cheese in one?

Say wine, snacks or haute cuisine and the food lovers of online food magazine FavorFlav know where to drink, how to eat and what to cook. This time our chefs serve you: the cheese with limoncello.
Cheese with a lemon flavor: that's not so crazy after all. Just like ricotta and lemon are a match made in heaven and a homemade lemon curd for the cheese on the cheese board is delicious. If from now on cheese exists with our favorite liqueur limoncello it can only be tasty.
3 types
Supermarket Aldi launches the lemon cheeses as limited edition and in three different varieties: a Wensleydale (British young cheese) with limoncello, a White Stilton (soft, creamy crumbly cheese) with lemon zest, and a Wensleydale with lemon and honey, each for about four dollars.

Only in America
Uhm, dollar? Yep. Unfortunately yes. Because for those who got so excited that they already dug out the shopping bag and are on their way to the supermarket, we have a bit of bad news. The cheeses are only available at American Aldi. Aldi came up with the lemon cheeses together with Alex’s Lemonade Stand. A charity that raises money for childhood cancer research in America. A portion of the proceeds from the cheeses is therefore also donated by Aldi to Alex’s Lemonade Stand. And that nice gesture comforts us a bit.
Dutch limoncello cheese
Now we just hope that a Dutch cheesemaker picks up this brilliant idea so that we can soon put a limoncello infused cheese on our cheese board.
