Horror fans take note: Saw is getting a reboot

Horror movies are a bit of a love ‘em or hate ‘em, I believe, and I definitely fall into the first category. The bloodier, the better. Severed limbs, chainsaws, you name it... I'm all in. So when the horror movie Saw came out in 2004, I was quite pleased. I was still in high school and everyone was talking about how this movie was just ridiculously gruesome. And then that twist at the end. You understand: I had to see it right away, of course.
And it did not disappoint. In fact, I actually think Saw is really good as a horror movie. There is actually a story behind it and – if it hasn't already been spoiled – the twist at the end I really did not see coming. Okay, were the (in my opinion) twenty sequels necessary? Absolutely not. No, just do a good reboot. And well, that's coming. With Chris Rock no less. It's going to be called Spiral: The Book Of Saw.
He also co-wrote the script and I don't know how he did it, but actor Samuel L. Jackson is also making an appearance. The trailer is out now and even though the limbs aren't flying around yet, I think it looks promising. We do see the familiar chainsaw already, so does that mean that Chris Rock (who plays a police officer), just like in the very first part, has to saw himself into pieces? Huh, nice. Can't wait.
So, fellow horror lovers, mark May 15 in your calendar, then it will be in theaters. And check out the trailer below. My little horror heart is beating with anticipation.
