Hunted will come next season with a celebrity version

Hunted

The step that every successful (competition) series ultimately takes. Who Is The Mole, Expedition Robinson, Temptation Island, First Dates… And now also Hunted. The last season just ended a day ago and concluded with about 900,000 viewers. Not bad at all. In fact, maybe Hunted is at its peak now. So yes, a logical step, those BN’ers.

The teaser is already out, but the participants are not yet revealed. That will probably be announced with quite a bit of fanfare, leading up to the start: January 25. I must say that I understand the choice to switch to BN’ers, but to be honest: it has never really worked out well.

In any case, programs are quite liberal with the term BN’er, because especially in the case of Temptation Island, I only knew the so-called Bekende Nederlander from their participation in Temptation Island. And Hunted is also constantly being compared to Jachtseizoen — which is understandable, even though Hunted existed earlier, and they also only have BN’ers as guests.

Moreover, I think it’s much easier for BN’ers to get help. If someone like Lil Kleine or NikkieTutorials rings the doorbell, you know it’s all good. You help them much faster than two complete strangers who come with a vague story that they are on the run.

So see it first and then believe it. There was quite a bit of criticism about this season, because the ‘hunters’ played a bit ugly. Blocking bank cards, sending phishing emails, that kind of practice. I might sound a bit critical now, but I’ll just be back in front of the TV in January, you know. Because seriously, last season was just old-fashioned exciting again.
