Just about Comic Sans on Insta Stories

Suddenly, I was shot back in time at least twenty years. And that while I was uploading a quick photo to Insta Stories. Not really an old-fashioned activity, you would think. Apparently, people at Instagram (so Facebook) found it funny to upload Comic Sans MS. Comic. Sans. Ms.

It's the font you could still get away with when you were cobbling together a cu2 profile in HTML where your name was proudly displayed in neon at the top of the page, but on Hyves it was actually already a no go and very passé. The font saw the light back in 1994 (!), which is an eternity ago, and was launched as the loose alternative for a more informal document. Because yes, we were still way more creative than Times New Roman?
A daredevil would sometimes dare to email a curriculum in Comic Sans MS, but you already knew you would immediately end up at the bottom of the pile when using it. And now, now it seemed like Insta was a fun mindfuck and I still have to recover from all the ugliness that is compressed into one letter. By the way, I am very happy with all the other fonts, but a bit less with the revival of this oldie goldie.
