Long Frans retracts ‘unfortunate’ statement about Rutte

This time drives people apart. And that is a problem. This is how it happened that Long Frans fantasized in a podcast about an attack on, among others, Prime Minister Rutte, Geert Wilders, and the royal family. Together with his guest Janet Ossebaard, he said he needed help from ‘outside’. Arjen Lubach made a critical broadcast about it and not long after, YouTube removed the entire account of Long Frans.
This morning, Long Frans admitted in the morning show of 538 that his statements about shooting at Mark Rutte were not smart. ‘That may have been unfortunate. That it should have been cut out and that it did not contribute to the rest of the conversation, I will admit. There should have just been a pair of scissors on it. But I'm not here to apologize.’
That his YouTube channel has been removed, Frans calls a serious matter. ‘It's fine if there are things that go against YouTube's guidelines, that can happen. Then I made a mistake. If there are things that are not allowed: yes, there are rules. But I don't think the song Spiegelbeeld together with Glennis Grace falls under that.’ In the show, Frans says he will continue with his podcast anyway. ‘It will just be online this week through other channels.’
People, seriously, what’s going on in this world?!
