In the category #couplegoals, you had Elle and Noah in 2018 (just for the record: that was already TWO years ago, Netflix. Not okay.) the dream couple of The Kissing Booth. You know, that movie that you’re actually too embarrassed to admit you loved. That ultimate guilty pleasure that stands in the same line as To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before. Yessss, that one.
And that #couplegoals continued into real life, because Elle and Noah are actually called Joey King and Jacob Elordi and they also formed a real-life couple. Quite a long time, by the way, but not long enough for their love to last so long that they got to film the sequel to The Kissing Booth. Come on Netflix, then you know you really dropped the ball. Something about striking while the iron is hot. These people were not only in love on our screen but also in real life. Bring us the chemistry. Bring us that second part. Hmpf.
Well, that second part is finally coming. And yes, there is a release date. July 24 is the day. Trailer? Not yet. And I find that incredibly annoying because I want to know if Elle and Noah are still together. And if Joey and Jacob can still pretend that the sparks are flying. No okay, the real reason is that I just have a strong craving for such a guilty pleasure movie. A movie where high school love seems to be the greatest love in the world. Yeehesss, let that July 24 come quickly.
