Maxime Meiland is candid about a difficult childhood: ‘I didn’t want it anymore’

What I find a beautiful turnaround on YouTube is that the challenges, pranks, and vlogs are increasingly being exchanged for serious formats. Just you and I coming up with something beautiful. Set up a camera crew and then build your own ‘tv show’ around it. That's why today I have a little tip from my side. Robbert Rodenburg (you know, the man with the most infectious laugh in the Netherlands) has given birth to his latest format ‘Open Kaart’, in which Robbert engages in conversation with various well-known guests based on five previously unknown deep questions. Mr. kicks off with an open-hearted Maxime Meiland. The coming out of her father Martien, what happened next with the family, and the dark period in her life where she felt ‘it didn't have to be anymore’. Nothing is shunned. And fortunately, there is also time to laugh.
