Meet the cast of Undercover 2
The wait is finally almost over. Hallelujah, that took a long time. Also a nice move from Netflix, I must say. After a really long wait, they finally give us a Dutch series that is genuinely good (because we don't often experience that), everyone is binge-watching that first season... And then it goes quiet. GREAT. Of course, we expected that a second part would come, so that announcement was more of a ‘when’ than an ‘if’. But guys, guys, guys... Does that second season really have to take this long?
In the meantime, we finally have a release date that no longer feels like it’s infinitely far away. September 6. It’s still over a month away, but the end is in sight. And luckily, we are gradually getting to see what we can expect, because yesterday Netflix let us meet the new faces.
Sharon, Laurent, Nathalie, and Jean-Pierre are four new characters in the second season. And this season we at least know for sure that these are not drug lords, because illegal arms trade is central. And a bit of drugs of course, because thank goodness Ferry is back too. Behind bars, but I bet he still knows how to turn the whole prison upside down.
Kim (Anna Drijver) has had enough of the whole undercover business and is working for a human rights organization. Bob (Tom Waes) is still working and probably single, since his wife was already completely done with it in the first season. Anna Drijver is still part of the cast, so there’s a good chance she misses her old life a bit.
And in the meantime, Ferry is very busy from prison figuring out which agents brought him down. And of course, Daniëlle and Khaleesi are also part of the deal, otherwise it wouldn’t be complete.
Undercover 2 was initially supposed to be seen on Flemish television before it came to Netflix. That would be good news for us, but Netflix has put a stop to that... So it will also premiere there on September 6. Then we’ll just have to count down. Almost.
