Netflix is coming out with a comedy about the disaster year 2020

Of course you could wait for this... Of course there is going to be a series about the year 2020. In other words, a disaster year. Is there anyone who has had more highs than lows this year? I think the verdict is simply unanimous: 2020 gets a failing grade.

Maybe you still remember the bus shelters in America that were filled with posters of Black Mirror during corona. The new season then, and the poster was a mirror. Because 2020 could honestly fit right into an episode of Black Mirror (and that will surely come too). And my god, that’s going to get grim for me... But no worries: the creators also have quite a bit of humor.

And that’s why their first project about corona is not a Black Mirror episode, but a comedy. It’s called Death to 2020 and the trailer has just been released. They have gathered quite a good cast: Samuel L. Jackson, Hugh Grant, Lisa Kudrow, and Cristin Milioti. Okay, that can only be fun anyway.

And I actually suspect that there will be a Black Mirror touch to it. Nice and grim, then, with a lot of dark humor. Just check the trailer: it doesn’t really look like an advertisement for a comedy show. Luckily, dark humor is my favorite kind, so I’m eagerly waiting.

By the way, that wait doesn’t have to be too long, because it will be online on December 27. YES, thank you, Netflix. We can relive this disaster year with hopefully some laughter.
