Nice news about Stranger Things season 4

It really feels like an eternity since new episodes of Stranger Things were put online. Now I already think that this series is not exactly the strongest when it comes to putting the pedal to the metal because it always takes quite a long time — and when we then have to deal with a pandemic, it’s even worse. Fortunately, filming has resumed in October, so that means we will get new episodes in… 2023? No okay, that’s a bit exaggerated, but it will still take a year, I guess.

Buuuut then you also get something. At least, that’s what it seems. We will be dealing with four new characters in the series, of which actor Robert Englund is the most important. You might know him as Freddy Krueger from Nightmare On Elm Street, or genuine nightmare material, but we will get to know him in Stranger Things as Eddie Munson.

He plays a club owner and will play an important role in the fourth season. My guess is that he is a really shady guy (when are club owners not in series or movies?) and I especially hope that it will create the necessary tension again. Because that’s what makes Stranger Things so fun: I genuinely find it an exciting series and at the same time I always find it so strange what is happening.

Then just a little realization… Actually, season 4 was supposed to come out at the end of this year. So thank corona for that, because that’s not happening. It’s really sour because season 4 was supposed to be themed around Thanksgiving or Christmas. How fun would that have been? So we will never know. Hopefully, they will come up with a release date for this season soon, because as far as I’m concerned, the waiting is getting a bit old.
