Oh no: do we have to say goodbye to Grey's Anatomy?

Because it's 2020 and apparently we can’t have nice things, it strongly seems that we have to say goodbye to Grey’s Anatomy. Yes, a year in which a pandemic is ongoing is also exactly the year in which they seem to announce this. Talk about bad timing. The series has been on TV for fifteen years... Couldn’t they have just stretched it out until the world is a bit better and we can handle these kinds of things better?.

But unfortunately, it really doesn’t seem to be any other way. Actress Ellen Pompeo said the following about it: “We don’t know when the show will end. But the truth is that it could be this season.” Well, that already sounds quite definitive to my ears. Anyway, it’s not good news if the next season hasn’t been signed yet... I’m going to prepare myself emotionally.

Was Grey’s Anatomy as fun in the last season as it used to be? No, definitely not. But it’s always so easy to watch and even though I never followed it faithfully, I could jump in at any episode. And I actually expected a whole season dedicated to corona, isn’t that really a missed opportunity? Let’s hope this is fake news.
