PLL fans: this will be your new addiction

Ooooh oh oh, there is a delicious series coming up. I am no longer ashamed that I was really obsessed with Pretty Little Liars. That I genuinely thought there were clues about who A was. Yes, even with the A after Mona, I still thought it would turn out well. Then it became — should I say spoiler? That series has been over for so long — Cece and that was… Medium. But then another A came along and I started to see through the writers. They actually had no plan at all beforehand. I think they didn't expect to continue after season 2. And yes, then you make someone's evil twin sister (with a fake British accent) the big villain. Wow, I don't think there's any series that has ultimately proven to be such a disappointment. It became a complete trainwreck. BUT I LOVED IT.
And now there seems to be a good replacement coming. It was already there for a while in the form of Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists, but there was only one season of that and even though I watched it, I couldn't tell you what exactly happened. It was all a bit… Blah. Sofia Carson as the main character was a stunning girl, but really everyone was one-dimensional. Even Mona couldn't save it.
Buuuut now the good news: a new series is coming. Speaking of a long introduction, sorry. But anyway, this series is called Tiny Pretty Things and according to IMDb, it comes out on December 14 (Netflix hasn't confirmed anything yet). It's a series based on the book of the same name that was released in 2015 and according to the streaming service, it's Black Swan meets Pretty Little Liars. In other words, exactly what we crave between all the Christmas movies.
It takes place at a prestigious ballet school (hi Black Swan) in Chicago, where a girl is pushed off a roof. And then the big question: who did it? And why? In this dance world, everyone seems to be friends, but in the meantime… Kind of keep your friends close, but your enemies closer. Many of the students feel marked as suspects and that naturally creates some tension.
My first impression: this is going to be a delightful series. But yes, I found the Netflix series Dare Me also entertaining and I think I am literally the only one in the whole of the Netherlands who finished it. I definitely get the Pretty Little Liars vibe from it and it has the necessary tension… But please, let it have a good resolution. No evil twin sisters then. That can't happen. That actually never could.
Small side note: one of the characters is named Nevaeh, an increasingly popular name in America, because it's Heaven spelled backwards and they find that very deep and meaningful. I think it's unacceptable but I'm curious about other opinions. The name sounds to us Dutch people mainly like Nivea.
