The Bachelorette with Gaby Blaaser starts on this date

Oh yes, will this be my new replacement for Love Is Blind? Deliciously wrong and particularly addictive? I hope so. It has all the good ingredients, at least when I think back to the last The Bachelor, from 2018 already, with Robbert. That ended with Naddja, they are already broken up, but what a show that was to enjoy. A bit (okay, just a considerable bit) vulgar and yet checking in every week.

And yes, it seems that this new season is going to be like that too, but then with a woman. And not just any woman: Gaby Blaaser will be the coveted single lady that the men will fight over. At first glance, it seems to have the same ingredients. Hugely juicy, but then in a tropical location. Those men had to try to win her heart in South Africa. Seems to me a lot easier than in rainy Netherlands, by the way.

My first instinct is that for everyone it will mainly be seen as a free vacation, because do people really think in 2020 that you will find true love through such a program? I can hardly imagine it. Gaby herself also says that she has experienced this way of dating as ‘very special’. Yes, well, many women are already happy when the man offers to pay for dinner... You are sitting in South Africa with a dozen men around you. I would also find that special.

Anyway, maybe a bit of jealousy here because South Africa has been on my bucket list for a while, but strangely enough, I wasn't asked for this program. So I'm just watching it from home, hopefully not in quarantine by then. How nice that we can now start making plans for after this whole self-isolation period? Love. It. From May 20, the episodes will be on Videoland and the first one is immediately a double, so that's double nice. New guilty pleasure in 3, 2, 1... GO.
