The extra season of Who is the Mole?: this IS everything you want to know

AVROTROS shares a video. Increased heart rate. In honor of the twentieth anniversary of Who is the Mole?, former participants (!) are traveling to Italy. WOW. This is so everything we were waiting for.

What we know so far?

Ten former participants get a second chance to unmask the Mole
Unlike previous editions, even the candidates did not know who else was participating until the game started, and the audience will only find out during the first episode at the beginning of September. Whuuuut. So long to wait?

Tuscany is the place where errrthing is happening
Here lies the origin of the Renaissance, which literally means ‘rebirth’, how fitting. The ten former candidates begin their game in Val d'Orcia, a region in central Italy. The group then travels past the birthplaces and important buildings of the giants of the Renaissance: Michelangelo, Caravaggio, and Leonardo da Vinci. You get it: these will be gems of images.

The season was filmed pre-corona
Yes, that means no social distancing between the candidates. I'm just mentioning it before the one-and-a-half-meter police gets upset. Secretly quite nice.

The big question isn't even… Who is the Mole? But…
DOES POOR RON BOSZHARD GET A NEW CHANCE? Oh of course, if the makers have listened to their viewers even a little, they will treat us to a grand Ron comeback.

Oh, and when is it all going to happen?

Mark Saturday, September 5th with a cross in the agenda. 20:30 AVROTROS, yay. Oh and, also mark September 6th, that Sunday the new season of Undercover is on Netflix. Yay.
