The performance of J.Lo and Shakira is what you want to see today

Shakira and Jennifer Lopez performance super bowl

The whole Super Bowl can be stolen from me every year, really. The sports aspect, you know. I honestly have no idea who won yesterday. In fact, I don't even know which teams played. What I did know was that J.Lo and Shakira took care of the infamous Half Time Show and that I definitely wanted to see that. Two of those power women, it can only be spectacular, of course.

Well, and it absolutely was. For when you don't feel like this chatter and just want to see that show: I understand, you can check it out at the bottom. About fifteen minutes where Shakira kicks it off. I must honestly say that I was a bit surprised by Shakira's choice, because she hasn't really had hits in recent years. No new music at all, I believe. But will you ever get tired of Hips Don’t Lie? No, exactly. During that song, she also went crowd surfing and threw out some moves that I often practice in front of the mirror and that look a lot less smooth. Or sexy.

But PEOPLE, that J.Lo. What a woman. Dancing through that show on a pole, and that body. Fifty years old, you know. FIFTY. Holy moly, I find it quite bizarre. To look like that at fifty. I am very impressed. Now J.Lo hasn't made particularly much new music in recent years either, but she can still rely on Waiting For Tonight and Love Don’t Cost A Thing for quite a while. So it was just quite a throwback Half Time Show, really.

The special guest of the evening was her little daughter Emme, who helped mom sing Let’s Get Loud and did that quite excellently. What a sweetheart. Shakira accompanied them on the drums and even sang along afterwards. They are quite the all-rounders, those two. But, who actually played?
