The podcast of Miljuschka and Astrid Holleeder

What a beautiful conversation between mother and daughter, because that is what the podcast of Miljuschka and Astrid is all about. What I find nice is that the podcast Family Secrets originated from Miljuschka's pure reaction. Not paying attention to the nomination of her mother's book in De Vooravond? Then she'll do it herself.
If you expect a presentation of the trial against Willem Holleeder, then you are going to hear something very different. It's as if you are sitting at the kitchen table with Miljuschka and Astrid, where little dog Abbey scurries around looking for cookies. Which she can, go ahead, eat from Astrid as well. But besides that, you hear the sadness, the despair, the endless love, and sometimes also the frustration that comes with being a Holleeder and having one as a mother.
Miljuschka Witzenhausen and Astrid Holleeder answer ten questions that have been submitted in the podcast. How they came up with Miljuschka's name and what happened when she turned out to be as dyslexic as a door (her own words). But also the moment when the world discovered via Boulevard that her daughter turned out to be the niece. How Astrid, after fifteen years of practicing law, still couldn't rent commercial space because of her family history. The woman in the fish shop who recognized her and helped her as quickly as possible, for her safety. The love she feels for her brother to this day, but also why she understands him.
The podcast ends with the promise that mother and daughter will record a podcast again if Astrid Holleeder wins the NS Publieksprijs today. I quickly voted. Not only because I want to hear them again, but also because I finished the book in two days. Take a moment to listen.
