This plant has been proven to make you productive

On my way home from my vacation spot, I was already shifting a bit on the back seat of the taxi. Would it, would it, would it? At home, I carefully opened the door to the living room and there they were together on the table, all my plant children. And they were still alive.

Back in the days, when we were still at the office day in and day out, I wasn't such a good plant mother. But now that I slide to the kitchen table, which also serves as my desk, almost every day, my house is starting to look like an urban jungle. A pancake plant, another huge Monstera a.k.a. the Swiss cheese plant, a hefty ficus, an elephant ear; my house transformed into an urban jungle. I filled my living room via Intratuin at the end of my street (life-threatening). Cozy green of course, but not very flowery, which I found a pity. You can take the girl out of the flower shop, but you can't take the flower shop out of the girl, I think. It turns out I don't have one of the most important flowery (!) plants from the jungle at home.

The orchid is originally a jungle plant and grows at the tops of the jungle. There are a gigantic 20,000 species, so don't immediately think of that single-flowered type from your grandparents. Besides the fact that the orchid can really brighten things up, it is good for your productivity, creativity, and sense of happiness. I don't know how it is at your kitchen table, but for me, a little extra happiness can't hurt.

The rumor about the orchid is that it can sometimes be difficult. Not true, shout the orchid experts (as I will call them for now). They are actually incredibly strong and can manage with very little water; all they need is a little love. I can do that. The trick is to shape your urban orchid jungle in such a way that you apply a lot of orchids in the greenery. Mix colors, flowers, and shapes until you feel instantly happy when you walk into the jungle. Then creativity and productivity will come naturally.

Extra tip: if you purchase an orchid at Intratuin this month, you have a chance to win a private green styling at your home, plus 449 euros in shopping credit. You understand: I'm hopping on my bike to the end of the street.
