Drinking less is becoming more common. In the past, you had to go home with a soda belly because water was not fun and there was nothing else to get at a party, but that time is over. Nowadays, you pour a crodino with plenty of ice, you go for a zero-point-zero beer or you drink an alcohol-free rum that tastes like rum. Really? Yes, really. I received the Lyre’s Dark Cane Spirit with all the accessories for an alcohol-free Dark and Stormy by post. I happen to be crazy about that. After some mixing and shaking, there was a very nice glass aka the mocktail. I drank it just as quickly as the real deal, but that really only says something about how good it tasted to me. So, tip. And I just found out that I also need to try Lyre’s Dry London Spirit, Italian Spritz, Amaretti, and Salted Caramel Espresso Martini (!) set. Maybe we should extend sobertober this year.
