Some time ago, I had the opportunity to go on a few days to the Amazon in Brazil. As impressive as it was to sleep in the middle of the jungle, after four days I was really looking forward to a warm shower (yes, really) and dry clothes. Fortunately, I got to spend my last two nights at the new boutique hotel Juma Opera.
This hotel has just opened and is located in the heart of the city of Manaus (which is actually called the capital of the Amazon because you can only sail into the jungle from there). It is also opposite the Teatro Amazonas, one of the highlights of the city. A few laps in the swimming pool on the rooftop with a view that takes your breath away, that's all you need, right?
The hotel falls under the same name as Juma Lodge in the Amazon, so I would personally recommend booking a package deal. First, go back to basics in the jungle and then end your trip at Juma Opera. Because after a few days in the Amazon, this is the place you want to be. So stop looking for your next vacation, Brazil is your destination.
