Summer, autumn or winter: I can always enjoy a delicious light rosé. Of course, it tastes best on a terrace in the sun, but that's not an option right now. So we make the best of it; such a good light rosé also tastes great indoors. A few crackers on the side and you're all set. It's handy to have a bit of a base, because — in my case — I can't easily put this rosé down.
I bought this at Gall & Gall, after I asked for a nice light rosé. ‘This Miraval is very nice, and fun fact: it's from Brad Pitt.’ WHUT. Okay, sold. I had heard somewhere that he was into wines with Angelina Jolie (but she is now out of the picture, which also means a new logo on the bottle), but first of all, I didn't expect those wines to actually be for sale, and secondly, I didn't expect them to be genuinely recommended.
Well, I stocked up because a friend was coming over for dinner and she is a wine connoisseur (I'm mainly a wine drinker) so I had to bring some quality... She already knew the Miraval rosé, had never tasted it, so it was a first for both of us. And I can tell you: This. Is. TOP. So delicious that I naturally drank way too much of it, but: I woke up without any form of headache. So I don't know if that's just luck or if it has to do with Brad Pitt (could be) or if this wine is just really my new all-time favorite.
Really, try it. Make a nice summer snack platter to go with it, put on some cheerful music and you'll forget you're indoors. For effect, you can also set up a life-size Brad Pitt cardboard cutout next to you. Just to complete the experience.
