My sister is calling. “Look, can I borrow some clothes from you? I'm going on vacation.” “Sure, where are you going again?” You should know: it's a very normal question in our family. We love to travel, so the globe gets checked off at a high pace. “Costa Rica!” “Oooooooh, you're going to love it so much. The animals, the nature, everything. It's unbelievable...”, I hear myself say with a sigh. She's going for two weeks. Costa Rica. The land of the smile. Of the Pura Vida. Literally translated, it means ‘pure life’, but it comes down to enjoying every moment and not worrying about things you can't influence. I like that thought. So, I don't know if you already have vacation plans for a winter trip (or for the summer), but consider Costa Rica. You have everything there, from beautiful white beaches to untouched tropical rainforest. The people are incredibly friendly and optimistic (I'll never forget that our guide called rain ‘liquid sunshine’) and they are protective of their beautiful country. Plus, you can totally unleash your inner Frederica Vonk here.

I mean: how often are you woken up at 4:00 AM by the sound of a couple of wrestling howler monkeys? That's what I mean. How often do you go ziplining while shooting through a beautiful jungle at breakneck speed? This is not your average vacation, sister. This is going to be a trip to remember. I'm so jealous of you. Have fun, girl.
