Welcome back Macarena and Zulema: spin-off Vis a Vis almost online

Yesss dear Netflix viewers, mark July 31st in your calendar. That is the date that Vis a Vis: El Oasis will be released on Netflix and YES, I am looking forward to it. After four seasons of Vis a Vis, it was over and out for the original cast, and initially, the writers also thought it was enough.

Thanks to the power of the internet for this spin-off, because the fanbase (and it is quite large) erupted, which meant the creators really had no choice but to commit to a sequel. Otherwise, there would have been quite a bit of trouble. Unfortunately, the chance is quite high that this spin-off will really only have one season, but at least we have Macarena and Zulema back. For a little while.

Because they are the stars of Vis a Vis: El Oasis, if you didn't know that yet. This spin-off follows them as they want to make one last hit. As somewhat older ladies, but seriously: how cool are they cast? I can totally see them in it. Macarena and Zulema (Macema? Zucerena?) have picked up the brilliant plan to steal the tiara from a Mexican drug lord. Apparently, that brings in a lot of money. I saw it right away: this is a foolproof plan. Can't go wrong.

Well, of course, everything goes wrong (you have to fill a whole season, right), but we will have to wait a little longer for that. In the meantime, I'm boosting my Spanish, because I still haven't managed to find a trailer with English or Dutch subtitles. So, chicos y chicas, install that Duo Lingo app again (even though I've had it for a few months now and I'm only just at the point where I know that my grandma is an abuela) and by the time Vis a Vis: El Oasis is out, you probably will have translated this trailer.

Just a little over a month. SO EXCITED. Very much excited. Or as Google tells me: MUCHO SENTIDO.
