Why you want to watch First Dates VIPS this Sunday
I always find the program First Dates so nice to watch. You don't have to think too much about it, it's at times incredibly awkward, (unintentionally) funny, and the best part is of course when there is really a match. Especially with the older participants, I always find that so sweet. They really shine and then I believe in love again. All's well that ends well.
But just like all other programs, it was only a matter of time before this variant would come. Temptation Island, Expeditie Robinson, Wie is de Mol?: they all switch to celebrities. And so also First Dates. This Sunday the first one will be shown (plus point: they are not shortening the regular broadcasts) and the two Sundays after that we are also covered. EXCITED.
But, which celebrities are participating? Well, for example Kasper from The Bachelorette. Yes, he participated there as a bachelor looking for the love of Gaby Blaaser and can now join the group of celebrities. Whether he will fall in love just like he did with Gaby, we will have to wait and see. Also The Voice Of Holland participant Danilo Kuiters is joining, who was already a celebrity for me because he comes from the same village as I do. So I will definitely watch him too.
Furthermore, we have YouTuber Jill van Dooren who will appear in the First Dates restaurant, Maria Tailor is part of it, Jasmine Sendar too and… Johan Vlemmix. I am especially curious about the last one — that will undoubtedly be an interesting date. In any case, never a dull moment with that man, it seems to me.
And also Irene van der Laar is participating, and she talked about it yesterday in Jinek. The former Miss Universe Netherlands was looking for a beast of a man, a bit of a Bokito type. Her words by the way, not mine. She is going for the Champions League and not for FC Knudde. I think everyone should aim for that. Everyone deserves that Champions League. And if she ended up sitting across from a jerk? Then she would have walked away immediately. Hopefully that won't be the case, but it seems to me that the men would definitely want to line up for a woman like Irene, right? I find her so likable.
So Sunday evening. Block your calendar, because it's time for dating. For other people who are dating, at least. Also very curious how that will go with the one and a half meters in between. It can only get more awkward, especially if the people are completely starstruck. Funfunfun.
