Will Martien Meiland be your new neighbor?

Move over Beynac, this is the place where the current Chateau Marillaux is located, the Meiland family is moving to the Achterhoek. Erica tells Omroep Gelderland that they have bought a farmhouse and that they will settle here with the family.

If you fire up the route planner, don't confuse Hengelo in the Achterhoek with Hengelo in Twente by the way. The family's new pad has three bathrooms, a sauna, a horse stable, a guest house, and a double garage. I never quite know what to do with double garages (well, with those three bathrooms by the way), but it must be a paradise for collector Martien. If you're thinking: with all those square meters they're surely going to receive guests again, think again. Erica emphasizes that the accommodation is private and will remain private. Of course, we don't know what Martien secretly plans or has to say about this matter, but for now, everyone has their own bathroom nicely.

The move is still a while away, as the Meiland family is certainly settled in Beynac for recordings until November. But after that, it could very well be that you run into Martien and his companions at the local supermarket. We are jealous, because how hysterically cozy is that?
