Yes, Élite gets a fourth and fifth season with a new cast

Yes ladies and gentlemen, I have muy bueno news for you. Okay, my Spanish always sounds a bit better in my head than on paper, but I’m working on it. Because there is news about one of the coolest Spanish series. No, not La Casa de Papel or Vis a Vis, but that other one. Yes: Élite. We are still waiting for season 3, but impatient Netflix has immediately ordered season 4 as well. Oh yes, and just go ahead and order season 5 while you’re at it.
Good job, Netflix. There is going to be quite a change: those fourth and fifth seasons will consist of a brand new cast. Somewhat logical, since the current cast has to graduate at some point… And following them to university doesn’t seem like a good plan to me.
New cast then. New round, new chances. The cast itself is not known yet, but apparently the filming is set to start this spring. So that’s why I expect an announcement sometime during the upcoming month… We do want to know who is going to shake up Las Encinas. Just a little patience, then. But I said it: muy bueno, this? I’m looking forward to it.
Then I’ll finish with the less fun Netflix news: Spinning Out has been canceled after one season. I didn’t see that coming, because there were so many positive reactions. Hm. The soundtrack was also canceled after one season, which I do understand because this concept didn’t quite work out for me. Vis a Vis keeps going strong, La Casa de Papel too and Élite as well. Clearly: from now on only Spanish-language series.
Noted.
