Yesss, the trailer for the new Dutch Christmas movie is out

De Familie Claus

Yeeheeess, I'm already completely in the Christmas spirit. And the silly thing is that I normally don't like Christmas at all. But thanks to ‘rona, I can now genuinely look forward to it. The anticipation has long begun with all the Christmas movies (The Christmas Chronicles is already online and it's honestly good) and this year we are also participating on Netflix.

And now there are the first images. The movie is called The Claus Family and I must say, based on the trailer: you can tell that Netflix is behind it. It was made with a pretty big budget, I think it looks really well made. The lead role is for Bracha van Doesburg, so that's definitely nice.

Okay, briefly the story: Jules has recently lost his father and hates Christmas. He moves to Belgium with his mother (Bracha van Doesburg) and spends a lot of time with his grandfather and in his shop.

BUT THEN. Jules discovers that his grandfather is the one and only real Santa Claus and because his father has passed away, he has to step up again. But – oh no – his grandfather breaks a leg and now Jules has to help.

I think this is going to be delightful. I genuinely like the trailer and I think it's going to be the ideal feel-good movie. We'll know on December 7, because that's when it goes online.
