Britney Spears on sister: she doesn't support me

Britney Spears and sister Jamie Lynn Spears

Since the lawsuit surrounding Britney Spears and her conservatorship started, we also see a very different side of Britney on Instagram. And it's about time, because fans were quite often worried about the strange videos and captions she posted, in which she assured that she was doing just fine, that she had never been happier; things we now know are all not true.

When the truth came to light, the eyes were also quite focused on sister Jamie Lynn Spears. She was suspiciously quiet while several celebs spoke out and publicly supported Britney. It was therefore quite striking that her own sister didn't want to say anything about it. Eventually, she announced on Twitter and Instagram that she really supports her sister, that Britney knows that herself, and that she is not obligated to proclaim that continuously and publicly. There is some truth to it, except that Britney has now written on Instagram that this is not really the case.

In the photo below, she wrote a pretty long caption, the short gist of which is: she is fed up. All that commentary from people who don't like her videos (in which she dances in the living room), that she should do her makeup differently, and people who have comments. She kindly asks them not to follow her anymore. Clear, and completely justified of course.

Her sister is also mentioned: she sang songs of her big sister in a remix on stage. ‘I don’t like that my sister showed up at an awards show and performed MY SONGS to remixes !!!!!’ and ‘My so-called support system hurt me deeply !!!!’

So things are not quite right between the two. But there is also good news, very good news even: her first victory in the lawsuit is a fact. She can now (bizarre that this was not the case) hire her own lawyer and thus choose who represents her. She says that this first step makes her feel like she is ‘on her way to freedom’. It was about time.
