Carrie and Samantha argue in the continuation of the series

Everyone is in glory, because finally Sex and the City is getting a reboot. The big question was of course immediately: is there room for Kim Cattrall a.k.a. Samantha? The feud between her and star player Sarah Jessica Parker was, uuuuh, an understatement, not unnoticed by the outside world.

It quickly became clear that Kim Cattrall would remain out of sight, but how do you incorporate that into a series based on four girlfriends? Well, just process the argument in the series. The solution is so simple. Casey Bloys, the Chief Content Officer of HBO, explains: “Friends you had in your thirties are sometimes not there when you’re fifty.” And that is exactly what you will see in the continuation of the series: friendships that fade and friendships that form, just like the lives of 50-year-old women in New York.

Samantha doesn’t exit with a bang, but she is also not ignored. She is just very SATC-ish argued out of the series.
