The viral on TikTok did a lot for Hailey Bieber
On TikTok, celebrity ratings go viral. There was a restaurant hostess in New York who gave Hailey Bieber a meager 3.5 out of 10 for being nice, no matter how hard she tried to boost that score. Hailey responded with apologies, which were accepted by the hostess in question, but it turns out it affected her quite a bit. Hailey explains that she was going through a tough time, making it difficult for her to interact with people. She appreciates the feedback, as it helps her grow as a person, although she does wonder if social media is the place where this should happen. And you have a point there, Hailey.
€50,000 per episode of Bridgerton was not enough
It is now known that we will not see Regé-Jean Page in the role of Simon in season 2 of Bridgerton. It is worth mentioning what Netflix was willing to shake out of its wallet for the few short moments he was supposed to be seen. A meager 50k per episode. Page declined the offer, as he wants to focus on his film career. A shame for Bridgerton, good for us. It means we will see much more of Page.
One more week: Diane von Furstenberg for H&M Home
Our alarm is set early for Friday morning, April 16, because that's when Diane's collection for H&M goes live. It is the first designer collaboration ever for H&M Home. ‘The prints for my collaboration with H&M HOME are each iconic in their own way. The ‘Diane’ image I created myself twenty years ago when I started, and the lip pattern comes from a painting that Andy Warhol made of me. I love animal prints – zebra is totally ‘DVF’ – and vibrant colors, like orange and pink, especially in combination with black and white. I can't wait to share this beautiful collection with interior lovers worldwide,’ says Von Furstenberg. I read something about quotes from Diane herself on posters, colored glasses, espresso cups, and of course an iconic wrap dress. That's going to be tempting.
Weekend tip: shopping with a discount
Our standard response this week to potential purchases is: wait until Saturday. Because tomorrow is National Glamour Day, allowing you to shop with a 20 percent discount at very nice online addresses. Think: SuitSuit, Zalando, Levi’s, and CASA. A new album from Prince
After his unexpected death in 2016, no new music from Prince was released. It was mainly his popular albums that were re-released. Until now. It has just been announced that an album recorded in 2010 by Prince will be released on July 30. It is the album Welcome 2 America, featuring 12 previously unheard tracks by Prince.
