Nooo, end of an era: Chrissy Teigen says bye to Twitter

14 million followers, hatsakee in the trash. After ten years of tweeting, Chrissy is done. ‘I owe so much to this world. I really consider some of you as friends,’ she writes. ‘But it’s time for me to say goodbye. This no longer has a positive effect on me, but a negative one. It has always been my goal to make people happy. The pain I feel when that doesn’t work is too much for me. I know I’m always portrayed as the type that has a strong answer to everything, but I’m just not that.’ By the way, Chrissy’s farewell tweets didn’t stay online long: less than an hour after posting, she deleted her account. Will Twitter ever be the same again without the Queen? Sigh. Now officially the drain.

Meanwhile, Ruud de Wild shares an update from the hospital…

On Wednesday, the Radio 2 DJ had to go under the knife due to colon cancer. From his hospital bed, he posted a photo on Instagram to let everyone know he’s doing well. ‘I’m so proud of you, dear, strong, tough Ruud de Wild,’ writes Olcay. ‘Now recover and get better. The first big step has been taken!’
